Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Location: North Platte, Nebraska Position Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seekingproactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Supervisors to join our team at Sustainable Beef. In this role, you will oversee the maintenance of plant equipment and infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient operations to support production goals. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing and managing preventive maintenance programs while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. As a key leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance activities with production schedules and operational priorities, ensuring the highest standards of safety and performance. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs for all plant equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Coordinate maintenance schedules with production teams to support uninterrupted operations. Oversee the maintenance and repair of critical systems, including refrigeration, conveyors, and utility equipment. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment. Lead, mentor, and evaluate maintenance team members, fostering skill development and teamwork. Manage maintenance tasks, prioritizing work orders based on production requirements and safety considerations. Monitor maintenance budgets and control costs while ensuring high equipment reliability. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive measures. Collaborate with operations and management teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency. Qualifications: Associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field (bachelors degree preferred) or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, preferably in food or meat processing environments. At least 3 years of supervisory experience in maintenance management. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations relevant to meat processing facilities. Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with team members and leadership. Follow all company policies and procedures. Functional Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and physical hazards. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, including during equipment inspections and repairs. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Capable of working in elevated areas, including catwalks or ladders, as necessary to maintain equipment. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call availability, depending on production needs.
