POSITION SUMMARY:
The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine is accepting applications for the position of Hybrid DPT Program Director for the School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS) within the Morsani College of Medicine to begin Spring 2025.
This is a 12-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position at the Associate or Professor level, available as either tenured or non-tenured, and will remain open until filled. This newly created role reports directly to the Director of SPTRS/Associate Dean of the Morsani College of Medicine.
This is an exciting opportunity for an educational leader to join a strong team, develop a hybrid expansion program, and prepare students to transform health by enhancing physical and social well-being. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills and excel in team collaboration.
The position involves approximately 20-25% administrative duties, with additional responsibilities (e.g., teaching, research/scholarship, and service) based on the candidate's qualifications and the program's needs. Faculty rank and salary are highly competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an established DPT program that is ranked in the top 35 programs in the US by US News and World Reports. The Hybrid DPT Program Director is a new position created as SPTRS continues to expand its educational, research, and clinical missions. The Hybrid DPT Program Director will be a faculty member with an administrative appointment, responsible for development and management of the Hybrid DPT program, including program and curriculum development and classroom instruction. Our CAPTE accredited program maintains excellent program outcomes. Additionally, SPT&RS benefits from being part of a multi-disciplinary, inter-professional team as part of USF Health and the Morsani College of Medicine.

The Morsani College of Medicine includes the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences (SPT&RS), Physician Assistant Program, and Medical Education and Graduate Education Programs. The school includes the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program, and has recently added the USF entry-level and post-professional master's degree programs in Athletic Training (AT). The DPT professional program enrolls up to 50 students per class each year and is ranked in the top 50 per the US News and World Report. The USF Athletic Training Program was the first graduate professional AT program to be housed in a College of Medicine and currently has one of the largest and most diverse student populations in the country. Faculty, staff, and students within the school are engaged in and committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, serving in university and national level DEI leadership and committee service. The school's research mission generates over $5M in funded extramural research. The school also provides clinical services at the USF Physical Therapy Center in collaboration with other healthcare specialties.
