Executive Security Protection Driver (Security)
The EP Driver needs to be able to solve problems in a discreet and effective manner, demonstrating the highest ethical standards when evaluating sensitive information or situations. The highest level of maturity and integrity is paramount in all transactions and protective measures.
The EP Driver will maintain a reporting relationship with the Metro One Account Manager with a simultaneous reporting line to the Director of Security. The EP Driver will interact regularly with all members of the Metro One Security Team.
Responsibilities:
With respect to the physical security of the executives, the candidate should be well versed, with a clear understanding of the principles of Executive Protection. This includes working in and around groups of people, controlling the executives body in emergencies, walking with the executives, providing security at arrivals and departures, and providing security at public and private places/gatherings.Have the ability to handle emergency procedures, route planning, arrival and departure planning from various travel-related venues, site survey /assessment abilities to ensure a safe environment for the Executives to be present in and planning for public/special event functions.The candidate should have knowledge of surveillance and counter surveillance techniques, conducting advanced work, GPS and various apps detailed knowledge to ensure the best options for route planning.Acts as a primary coordinator/liaison with other departments groups, administrative assistants, contract security services and public safety personnel.Although this is currently an unarmed position, the candidate is required to maintain NJ Sora Certification and the appropriate level of licensing to possess a firearm. The candidate should maintain this regulated level for the entire period of his/her employment and practice the necessary skills to be proficient in the use of firearms. The candidate should be familiar with and proficient in disarming techniques for all types of weapons.Discretion and trust are vital as the candidate must be able to maintain a high level of confidenceThe candidate should have significant driving experience, attended vehicle operations courses, have tactical driving experience, knowledge of vehicle dynamics, anti-crime/terrorist driving and evasive maneuvering experience, and providing aircraft security.Extended hours, weekends and outside of steady work hours is required in this role due to executive travel, daily/evening meetings and activitiesMaintain -assigned equipment inventory and ensure operation of equipment by completing regular inspections and preventive maintenance.Other duties assigned by the Director of Security including, but not limited to, monitoring and using the Emergency Alert System, attend and work conference security details alongside other conference security vendors, assist with employee separations, conduct ET home security surveys, etc.
Key Projects:
Regular contact with the Security Command Center to ensure vehicle maintenance and monitoring.Life Safety includes AED deployments, CPR and First Aid Certification.Participate in risk assessment as it relates to travel planning for the President/ET and Special Events.Work with the Director of Security to develop and manage EP strategies.Play a key role in the resource allocation and event coordination for the Executive Protection Program.
