A Lot About You

You are a product manager who welcomes the challenge of building a new consumer product experience from the ground up. You are comfortable being one of the first members of a newly formed team. Product designers consider your partnership critical to solving customer problems and delivering exceptional user experiences. Engineers jump at the chance to work with you again. You never throw requirements over the fence - you work collaboratively, follow through on commitments, and trust the team to do the same. You set a high bar for product quality and have a keen eye for detail. Teammates and stakeholders appreciate your clear and fearless communication style. You enjoy sprints as much as strategy. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product design and engineering to design, build, and deliver features for the relaunch of Yahoo Weather on desktop and mobile web, plus future releases of mobile apps across iOS and Android.
• Help deliver new integrations of weather data and content across Yahoo product surfaces such as Home, Search, Newsletters, Mail and partner portals.
• Draft and review product requirements with design and engineering teams to gain alignment and determine level of impact and effort.
• Lead instrumentation and measurement efforts to understand Yahoo Weather's product performance, monetization efforts, and user patterns.
• Communicate project status on a regular basis with stakeholders across the News and Home product team
• Work with leads from Research, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Monetization, Finance, and Sales to improve our understanding of our customers, drive awareness of our products, and deliver value for our advertising partners

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience as a PM building a consumer-facing product on web and mobile
• Experience in weather, social media, or news is a plus, along with knowledge and experience shepherding native mobile apps through release cycles
• Proven ability to ship product features and deliver measurable value to customers
• Exceptional writing ability and asynchronous communication skills
• A desire to grow professionally, develop new skills, and take constructive criticism
• An understanding of how the news industry has evolved - including traditional media, social media, and the creator economy
• A quintessential teammate - adaptable, supportive, hard working, and enjoys a good laugh
• An interest in weather and strong opinions about consumer apps

The compensation for this position ranges from $96,000.00 - $200,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
