About the Team
Data Platforms is one of the pillars within the Chief Data Office (CDO), part of T. Rowe Price's Chief Operating Office (COO). The team is responsible for enabling high integrity data through the use of strategic enterprise data and analytics capabilities enabling our Enterprise Data Strategy. This role serves as a bridge between technology, architecture and business teams to ensure our enterprise data platforms are equipped with the right capabilities to ensure democratization of data for the use of insights, analytics and automation.
Role Summary
The Data Platforms Product Director, reporting to the Chief Data Officer, plays a crucial role in overseeing the development and optimization of our Enterprise Data Platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient data access, with a strong emphasis on enhancing capabilities and driving adoption. The director will define the strategy and roadmaps for data platforms, focusing on capabilities, functional and non-functional requirements, operational resilience, and continuous improvement.
Acting as a change agent for the firm, the Data Platforms Product Director will also partner with Enterprise Architecture (EA) to simplify the data platforms and tools landscape. By employing product management and agile principles, the director will bridge the gap between architecture, technology, and business teams. This collaboration is essential for executing cross-functional use cases that are deeply rooted in data management and governance, ultimately fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management and product management and a proven track record of leading successful change initiatives. They will be adept at navigating organizational dynamics and building consensus among diverse teams. By championing a simplified and cohesive data environment, this role will play a crucial part in positioning the firm for future growth and success.

$156,000.00 - $266,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$171,000.00 - $293,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$195,000.00 - $333,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual's relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
