Facilities Manager (Project Management)
Oversees continued development of all SCHC locations (exteriors and interiors), building equipment, and grounds.
Supervise and assist in the operation and maintenance of all building mechanical equipment.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure all equipment and systems are in optimal condition.
Responsible for planning and supervising all building and ground maintenance, including necessary repairs, installations, renovations, improvements, and the repair and/or replacement of furniture and fixtures.
Will coordinate all major projects with the Capital Projects and Facilities Director as well as keep them informed of all aspects of the work.
Ensures that all clinic facilities are comfortable, clean, safe, and conducive to the delivery of quality patient care.
Oversee the security systems, including alarms, cameras and access controls, to protect the facility and its occupants.
Coordinate office moves, furniture arrangements, and renovations to accommodate changes in staff or services.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to waste management, hazardous materials, and energy conservation.
Assists Capital Projects and Facilities Director and coordinates assigned building projects, including directing repair, construction, and renovation.
Maintains records of cyclical maintenance projects. Monitors performance so projects are completed according to acceptable maintenance schedules.
Oversees building security and safety. Assists with the development and implementation of the disaster plan.
Oversees security staff. Serves as a key member of clinic safety team.
Negotiates, coordinates, and monitors all maintenance contracts with outside vendors.
Prepares reports, keeps departmental records, statistics, and files.
Assists Capital Projects and Facilities Director in developing policies and procedures and annual budget for department and monitors performance against budget.
Be available for all building and maintenance emergencies.
Supervise a team of maintenance staff, cleaners, and security personnel, providing guidance, training, and support at needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrates knowledge and experience (at least 3 years preferred) as a facilities manager or supervisor, preferably in a medical clinic or related health care field.
Good communicator (orally, and in writing) with professional attitude in order to promote good relations with management, clinicians, and staff.
Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
Must be able to cope with pressure and stress on the job and coordinate a variety of tasks simultaneously.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
BS degree in related field, or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in related field.
Excellent people skills and customer service orientation.
