Job Summary
As a consultant to global HR partners, the Director of International Compensation will advise on compensation programs and establish governance frameworks that balance regional autonomy with consistency. This role will build global compensation policies and practices for job catalogs, as well as short and long term incentive programs. The role involves oversees the global mobility function. The Director of International Compensation will also mentor and guide regional compensation professionals and lead the global compensation community of practice.Job Description
Act as a consultant to global HR partners by providing advice and counsel on compensation programs, policies, and practices outside the United States.
Establish and oversee global governance frameworks for key Medline compensation processes that balance regional autonomy with agreed-upon levels of consistency, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Build focused global compensation policies and practices that meet regulatory and compliance requirements across all operating regions.
Support the design and management of a critical few global reward programs, ensuring market competitiveness and alignment with company goals.
Support and guide a community of global compensation practitioners, fostering consistency and best practices across regions.
Oversee global mobility management, including the administration of visas and other work authorizations, to support international assignments and relocations.
Ensure approaches used to analyze and benchmark compensation practices align with internal standards and consider industry best practice.
Collaborate with HR, finance, and business leaders to ensure compensation strategies support overall business objectives and financial plans.
Support the development of direct reports and aligned Medline compensation professionals, providing mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of compensation programs and make data-driven recommendations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Certification / Licensure:
Work Experience:
7 years of comp experience in large, global companies with a centralized compensation department and 4 years' of management level experience.
2 years of global compensation experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Strong knowledge of global compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic compensation programs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Education:
Master's degree
Certification / Licensure:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Work Experience:
Experience working in a multinational corporation.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Experience with compensation software and Workday.
Fluency in multiple languages.
