Senior Employee Relations Representative (Human Resources)

Federal Reserve Bank of ChicagoAs a Senior Employee Relations Representative, you will conduct internal investigations of employee relations issues and makes recommendations to Bank management to resolve issues. Coach management on sensitive employee issues/situations.The level of work performed is considered advanced and staff must be able to work under minimal supervision. This position does not have direct reports.
Your Responsibilities:
- Counsels and advises employees and management on work-related issues such as policies, attendance, performance, conduct, complaints, employment law, etc.
- Serves as a primary resource for employee complaints.
- Conducts investigations related to complaints of discrimination, intimidation and harassment.
- Creates documentation that may be relied upon for litigation purposes.
- Reviews and is authorized to approve counseling and termination of employment cases.
- Develops and communicates HR policies and guidelines.
- Conducts interviews with employees.
- Collaborates within department by providing guidance on employment law and policy issues.
- Develops and conducts Employee Relations training as needed.
- Oversees the Harassment Prevention awareness program.
- Supports medium to large size projects on behalf of the department or participates in larger Department and/or District strategic projects.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 5-7 years of related professional work experience
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in employment law to complete difficult assignments.
- Demonstrates independent decision-making abilities.
- Able to understand and respond appropriately to ambiguous situations.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
What We Offer:
The expected starting salary range for this position is between $116,100 and $137,300 annually in addition to annual performance-based discretionary bonuses. Final salary and offer will be determined based on the applicant's relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.

Additional Requirements:
- This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in office.
