Incumbent drives and operates tractor trailer truck or heavy duty truck or equivalent in accordance with established safety procedures and guidelines set forth by the DOT (Department of Transportation), for the safe hauling of cargo to and from specified destinations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives and operates a tractor and trailer unit, or equivalent, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and company guidelines/safety procedures.
Maintains a DOT driver log and records according to regulations and requirements.
Conducts and documents all pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tractor-trailer unit in accordance with DOT regulations and company guidelines.
Documents and notifies appropriate district personnel of current or anticipated repair needs, performs minor emergency road service when needed.
Completes required work plans, job safety analysis, observations, and attends safety meetings as required.
Maintains satisfactory customer service, keeping radio or telephone contact when vehicle is safely parked with supervisor or dispatcher to receive work assignments, delivery, or pickup instructions.
Loads and unloads fluid in accordance with company guidelines; secures load/items in or on tractor-trailer unit before driving.
Completes work tickets to ensure conformance with instructions and orders for proper payroll and/or invoicing.
Reports all safety issues, incidents, and concerns to management in accordance to incident reporting procedures.
Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
Maintains tractor-trailer unit free of debris or loose items; good housekeeping.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid CDL A or B drivers license depending on vehicle required to drive with required endorsements and acceptable driving record within past 3 yrs.
Must meet all qualifications defined in Motor Vehicle Policy
Hazmat endorsement may be required depending on work location.
Ability to interact with others in a team environment.
Ability to work variable schedules/shifts and long hours.
Able to work in all types of outdoor climates and conditions.
Able to work at heights.
One (1) year experience operating a diesel truck in a DOT regulated environment preferred.
Basic knowledge of oilfield well servicing preferred.
Knowledge of or experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of diesel trucks preferred.
The following qualifications apply if operating in interstate commerce (crossing state lines) or in states that use the Federal Regulations for intrastate (within the state) operations:
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, read and write in English.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
Must pass company drug/alcohol urinalysis.
Must pass post-offer "Essential Job Functions Test."
Must pass DOT-drug & physical as required by state and federal government.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent is preferred.
