In-Store Sales - Driver Trainee Location: Jamestown, ND Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an In - store sales - Driver Trainee to join our team located in Jamestown, ND. The In - store sales - Driver Trainee is responsible for daily order management within strategic accounts. By partnering with plant level purchasing contacts, the goal is to ensure adequate product supply and replenishment. What we offer you! - Competitive compensation - Local routes & no required overnights! - Career growth opportunities - Comprehensive benefit plan (medical, dental, vision and more) - 401(k) retirement savings plan - Paid time off (vacation, holidays, PTO) - Employee discount programs Driver Sponsorship Program Summary - Enroll and complete a formal driver training program through a third-party operated school. - Course requirements include a minimum of 120 hours of both behind-the-wheel and classroom instruction, with a minimum of 40 hours of behind-the-wheel preferred. - Receive pay to complete all course instruction during the first few weeks of employment. - Attain a Class A or B CDL license with applicable endorsements based on company needs. - Guaranteed full-time local driving position (home nightly) with Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. upon attainment of a CDL with all applicable endorsements. Covered Program Expenses - Course or program instruction - Course or program required materials - One-time fees associated with obtaining a CDL such as test taking fee, equipment rental for driving test if applicable (one time only), DOT drug/alcohol and medical exams if not covered by the school or program - Initial fees for required certifications (tanker, airbrake, hazmat, medical card, etc.) What you will be doing: - Visit a pre-determined list of strategic customers on a daily basis that require Vendor Managed inventory (cylinders/hardgoods) - Ensure accuracy of the order, pricing and processing in JDE. - Convert order in to customer PO format and email to purchasing department (As Required) - Deliver product to customers as needed - Clearly communicate with GSM, TM and distribution supervisors - Identify/Document Prostar conversion opportunities and meet quarterly with TM's to review. - Assist TM's with cylinder audits - Write credit memos when customers return hard goods while taking orders on site. - Looks for opportunities to convert customer to PDI Express, EDI payments, etc. - opportunities to reduce transaction costs. - Goes on join calls with TMs to new customers, as needed - Other duties as assigned What makes you great: - High School Diploma Required (Bachelor's preferred) - Excel / JDE / Computer skills - Strong written and Oral communication skills - Ability to attend all classes or instruction. - No preventable accidents, license suspensions or other moving violations in the past two (2) years. - No DUI or similar type convictions within the last ten (10) years. - Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical (Physical not scheduled until after offer has been extended.) - Ability to read and write in English. - Reached the age of 21 years or older. - Ability to obtain CDL Permit prior to beginning course instruction. - Ability to obtain CDL License upon completion of course instruction Why you will enjoy working with us: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2024 sales of $33 billion.
