The Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology is a basic science department in the Morsani College of Medicine.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking applicants for two tenure-track/tenured faculty positions at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor levels. A doctoral degree in medical or biomedical sciences is required. Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of academic accomplishments with NIH-supported research programs. Research expertise in translational science is preferred, particularly in areas related to heart and lung disease, circulatory dysfunction, aging and metabolic disorder, inflammation and immune response, and organ transplant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Medical School Teaching, Graduate/Profession program
- Establish, or continue, NIH funded research programs
- Committee Service, Academic/Scholarly service
- Duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
PREFERRED:
Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of academic accomplishments with NIH-supported research programs.
