Consumer Non-Real Estate Loan Processor (Finance)
Provide administrative assistance to lenders for loan application processing.
Verify correct documentation is provided to process loans.
Prepare loan files and all loan documentation as needed for branch lenders.
Ensure loan documentation is complete and accurate according to policy.
Mails daily credit score disclosures and insurance disclosures for all new loan applications.
Mails all declination letters that are produced daily.
Upload loans from application system to loan documentation system to core system.
Verify accuracy of loan documentation and ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data to comply with bank policy.
Keep track and follow up on loans with lenders for missing or incomplete information.
Process employee loans while keeping all information confidential.
Send completed boarding data to loan tellers after loan is uploaded and disbursed on core system.
Provide assistance and insight for changing processes within department.
Be proficient in using all loan systems.
Turns file over to loan checkers once completed.
Spend 12 hours minimum a year with lenders on the front side to learn and keep updated on the origination side of consumer non-real estate lending.
Understanding all regulatory guidelines associated with non-real estate lending.
Understand and support all BSA/AML responsibilities as applicable to the position as well as consistently, accurately, and timely carry out these responsibilities in compliance with the Bank's internal policies.
Assumes additional duties & responsibilities as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year lending experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A good understanding of financial institution products and services is also necessary.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as bank policies and procedures, regulatory guidance, and banking industry guidance. Ability to evaluate internal loan reports. Ability to build relationships and facilitate collaboration with team members within and across departments. Ability to effectively present information to management when necessary.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to understand all aspects of consumer lending and how it works and relates to our customer base. i.e. calculation of loan payments as it relates to debt to income etc.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to practice critical and innovative thinking. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
