Supplier Management Specialist (Finance)
The ideal candidate for this role will have strong communication and problem-solving skills. A curiosity of financial markets, strong commercial acumen, and an ability to develop relationships. The ideal candidate will also be willing/required to travel to Winnipeg, CA, Keokuk, IA, Kansas City, KS, Columbus, OH, St Louis, MO and the surrounding area.
1. Assist, develop, and track innovative cost savings solutions
2. Grow existing relationships with vendors to further strengthen relationships and create
business opportunities
3. Purchase commodities (ferrous metal) along with other categories
4. Interact with vendors regarding supply chain management, special payment terms, and
contract changes and create business opportunities to effect strong vendor relations and
profitability for the company
5. Enter and manage purchase orders (POs) accurately and efficiently
6. Develop and maintain reporting systems to generate regular and ad-hoc reports for supply
chain performance
7. Organize and participate in supplier meetings to discuss, analyze, and evaluate parts
supplies, production, quality, and improvements, ensuring compliance with orders placed
8. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
