The Senior Graphic Designer works closely with marketing coordinators and principals to maintain a busy production schedule, create superior custom graphics and layouts, and produce highly strategic qualifications, proposals, presentations, and other collateral material to help the firm tell our story.
Responsibilities:
Create graphics that make complex information understandable and formulate design concepts that are engaging, attractive, and user-friendly.
Collaborate with a varied group of individuals from different backgrounds, ranging from Architects, Interior Designers, Planners, Engineers, Marketers, and Visual and Graphic Designers to develop marketing materials presentations and solutions that drive business outcomes.
Be an advocate of exceptional design and maintain Gresham Smith brand standards at the highest level of quality.
Combine content and strategic messaging into visually effective and persuasive deliverables.
Solve challenging information and communication design problems and present multiple concepts for consideration.
Coordinate printed projects directly with vendor/printer to completion. Materials may include market-specific brochures/booklets, announcements, invitations, etc.
Work with the team to manage jobs from concept through completion.
Continually think of new ways to refresh and present the same information with the audience in mind.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS in Graphic Design or related field and a minimum of 5 years of graphic layout/design experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, client-driven environment.
Tech-savvy self-starter who can operate independently on the majority of day-to-day activities.
Strong portfolio to be presented and defended.
Advanced in InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
Excellent organizational and creative skills.
Ability to work in a team environment yet execute as an individual when needed.
Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
Very high attention to detail on the creation and through the entire process of graphic development.
Willingness to present, critique, and be critiqued.
