Irrigation Technician (Agriculture)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurately analyze and diagnose problems related to irrigation systems
Prioritize, schedule, and perform irrigation service work including service checks, start-ups, winterizations, and repairs.
Efficiently communicate with customers in about their irrigation systems
Ensure service truck is clean and organized, properly stocked with inventory and tools
Ensure routing efficiency
Retain a basic knowledge of horticulture and maintain a relationship with account managers to understand the water requirements of different turf and ornamental species.
Develop and maintain status as a Subject Matter Expert in the irrigation field
Identify new sales opportunities
Keep certifications current and seek out continuing education opportunities.
Respond to afterhours and weekend emergencies.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Drive the company vehicle in a safe and competent manner, following company safety policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations for the operating of such vehicle.
Be able to operate equipment in a safe and competent manner and in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
