Operations Scheduler (Manufacturing)
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintaining Company On Time Delivery by working with individual team members regarding scheduling and personnel needsCommunicating with internal and external customers, and production administrative staff to monitor the status of customer orders, and to facilitate changes as neededWork with Operations team on Recognizing and removing bottlenecks by re-allocating any and all required resources as necessary to meet corporate objectivesWorking and communicating effectively with the Plant Manager regarding equipment and maintenance needs, and to provide a neat, clean, and organized production environmentTakes initiative to develop and apply professional knowledge and skills in order to improve organizational performanceParticipate daily production meetingPerforms other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to create and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and suppliersStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAnalytical and problem solving skillsProficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
Education
2 years related experience highly preferred but not requiredHigh School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Complexity
Assignments are complex in nature. Advanced planning, problem solving skills, prioritizing, and communication with internal and external customers is paramount to success. The ability to motivate, manage, and direct the efforts of the production staff, while maintaining the highest quality standards, in an efficient and cost-effective manner is required.
Supervision
Normally receives little input on daily operational issues unless solicited. Is routinely provided with broad statements of corporate philosophy as well as specific corporate goals and objectives, and is responsible for monitoring and ensuring progress towards attainment of planned results.
Travel
Overnight travel may be required occasionally.
