About the Opportunity
The Cloud Solutions and Services team has an immediate opening for a OpenShift Architect, reporting to Assistant Vice President
We are looking for an accomplished OpenShift Architect to join our OpenShift Platform team. As an OpenShift Architect, you will help design and implement container solutions to enhance our container platform efficiency and scalability. You will collaborate across teams to ensure the successful deployment and management of containerized applications, applying best practices and industry standards. What You Will Do:
Design OpenShift Container platforms for our hybrid cloud environment
Provide technical direction for OpenShift Platform team partnering with the Container Product Owner.
Collaborate with partners to define containerization strategies and create high-quality container solutions
Implement container platforms, including orchestration, monitoring, backup, and security systems
Partner with business areas to develop migration strategies to OpenShift platform
Develop containerization frameworks and standards
Ensure the integration and automation of containerized applications, pipelines, and releases
Lead containerization projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting
Provide troubleshooting and technical support for container-related issues
Stay updated with the latest containerization technologies, trends, and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years' experience architecting or engineering containers solutions using OpenShift, EKS or other Kubernetes-based solution are a plus
In-depth Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Proficiency in designing and implementing highly available and scalable container architectures
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools, such as Jenkins, ArgoCD and Ansible
Experience with network configurations and security principles in a containerized environment
Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure
Familiarity with hybrid cloud solutions using hyperconverged solutions running VMware

The national hiring range for this role is $130,400- $179,300 annually.
For candidates in certain markets (Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; New York City Metro Area, Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA), the listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location. For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
