Some positions may require functionally related certification or advanced degrees Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Natural Resources Management, Engineering, Ecology, Sustainability, Environmental or Atmospheric Science; or related field plus a minimum of three years related experience.

AdministrationPrepare reports and maintains records related to the program including tracking community interactions and compliance activitiesMay assist with tracking and administering grantsCustomer ServiceRespond to inquiries, complaints, and service requests from community members, employees, and City Council, ensuring an empathetic approach to all customersOffer assistance in a way that addresses barriers to access such as providing in-person support or using translation services when neededFollow up to resolve issues and escalate as needed, documenting customer interactionsComplianceMay assist with monitoring and enforcing compliance with municipal code, including data entry, tracking deadlines, and coordinating compliance activities (e.g. mailings, application review, scheduling appointments)May work with external groups such as HOAs, contractors, and residents to ensure adherence to program guidelinesOutreach and EngagementRepresent program at community events, with an emphasis on ensuring equitable program accessMay assist with preparing and presenting educational material on the program or waste reduction and recycling practicesUpdate program website as directed
