YIELD AND LABELING TECHNICIAN (Manufacturing)

Position Overview:
The Yield and Labeling Specialist is responsible for reviewing batch records to ensure accuracy before finalizing finished lots, verifying yields, and ensuring correct data entry. This role also involves creating and printing labels and cards for the Warehouse based on order requests or direction from Supervisors/Leads. Additionally, this position requires training and leading a team to achieve success.

This position operates in an FDA-controlled environment, requiring adherence to strict quality and safety standards, including the use of gloves, hairnets, and other protective gear.

Essential Job Functions:

Yield Responsibilities:

  • Review and complete all required paperwork related to batch records.
  • Verify and calculate all yields to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure that all necessary batch record samples (bulk and card, if required) are enclosed.
  • Confirm that all labeling includes the correct lot number, expiration date, batch number, and product information.
  • Attach sample labels to batch records for reference.
  • Ensure the destruction of any excess labels once batch records are completed.
  • Create labels as needed.

Label Room Responsibilities:

  • Create and print labels using printing machines and computer software.
  • Prioritize and process label requests to meet demand and customer orders.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of printing supplies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure label requirements are met.
  • Maintain and clean label printing machines to ensure optimal functionality.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in basic math for yield calculations and label measurements.
  • Ability to work with computers and labeling software.
  • Knowledge of Dynamics 365 systems is a plus.
  • Ability to train and lead a team effectively.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adherence to company attendance policies (no excessive absences or tardiness).

Additional Training & Safety Requirements:

  • Safety training compliance.
  • Knife safety training (if applicable).

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure compliance with labeling and yield accuracy while fostering team success.
