SUPV INV CONTROL (Manufacturing)
The Supervisor of Inventory Control manages and reviews all inventory levels for the RDC's. This role will manage the Inventory Control Department and workload necessary to maintain overall inventory integrity. Supports and oversees True Value Warehouse Management System (acronym ADS, Automated Distribution System). Includes training regarding ADS functionality for the regional distribution center associates, supervisors, office personnel and operating management. Utilizes all systems and processes to research, correct, report and document all inventory variances. Supports PC work performance by installing and maintaining hardware and software solutions. Maintains computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements; planning and implementing desktop rollout projects.
Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).
1. Maintains daily accuracy of RDC inventory.
2. Manages workflow relating to inventory and inventory accuracy.
3. Manages and supervises workload to complete Perpetual Inventory Cycle Count for each inventory year.
4. Evaluates Cycle Count Data and review, approves and maintains accurate inventory adjustments on a daily basis.
5. Supports and analyzes actual functional/system problems for the Regional Distribution Centers utilizing the TruServ warehouse management system (ADS) with the assistance of "ADS Business Analyst's and programmers" when necessary. Accurately reports problems to WHQ Information Services software/technical support personnel.
6. Maintains accuracy on reserve locations, inbound and outbound transactions using various analytical PC based tools.
7. Assists in improving WMS, equipment, and other systems performance by investigating current environment, recommending solutions, and coordinating activities with the IT team.
8. Works closely with Office Manager, Operations Manager, Superintendent, Supervisors to ensure quality, accuracy of daily inventory and inventory related requirements.
9. Conducts frequent communications with appropriate departments at Corporate Headquarters to ensure accuracy of inventory.
10. Work with Vendors as required.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
· 3-5 years of experience, preferably in Inventory Control or Supply Chain.
· Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
