POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a junior faculty member to join its research mission. This position will perform basic science and/or translational research in specialized areas. This position will also be responsible for teaching to include didactic and bench-side teaching of undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows; presenting at departmental grand rounds and college seminars.MINIMUM:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals.
PREFERRED:
Research experience in dry eye, glaucoma, cornea or neuro-optics.The University of South Florida is a high-impact global research university dedicated to student success.
