Power System Engineer II (Finance)
Job Description: Work with project management to ensure that the work executed in their area, either by the Regional Engineer or by others, satisfies specifications and customer needs and is completed within the project timeline and budget. Projects are typically a mixture of office-based electrical power system design or study activities coupled with onsite data collection, commissioning, and installation. Some power system engineering projects may require travel and onsite work to be performed outside of regular working hours. Develop relationships with key customers and work to become the trusted advisor for them in order to facilitate an effective partnership and drive incremental business. Execute power systems engineering projects or lead project execution. Develop and maintain own technical and commercial proficiency of PSE offers. Develop proposals and quotations for power systems projects worked. Maintain relationship with key customers. Position eligible for 100% remote work, reporting to company site in Franklin, TN. 30% domestic travel to customer sites for studies, digital relay programming and commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Requirements: Position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in electrical engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in electrical controls engineering, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Designing Electrical Power Distribution Systems using AutoCad; Reviewing, designing, and refining Switchgear Automation and PLC Applications; Programming and Commissioning Digital Protective Relays; and Maintaining and testing electrical power systems.
