Project Engineer (Architecture)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage major capital investment projects for any area of the plant.
- Projects are completed on time, within budget and achieve a return on investment.
- Supervise contracted resources while onsite for facility improvement projects. Safety to include at a minimum; toolbox talks, daily work permits and constant supervisor presence.
- Manage maintenance projects to solve various problems in the mill.
- Projects are completed on time and achieve the requested goals.
- Maintain technical documents and prints.
- Ensure all documents and prints are easily available for all plant personnel.
- Supply the technical support to assist all Vallourec Star personnel on a daily basis, such as trouble shooting various problems in the mill.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, MS EXCEL, MS Project.
- Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment
- Travel 10 % of the time to visit potential suppliers, acceptance tests and benchmarking other facilities.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- 4-year bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related degree.
- 5-7 years project management experience preferred.
- 2-3 years Industrial related experience preferred.
- Training in project management.
- Excellent computer skills.
