Sr. Engineer - Pipeline Infrastructure (Engineering)
GTI Energy, the nation's leading research, development, deployment, and training organization serving energy markets, has an opportunity for an experienced Engineer in our Research & Engineering group. The qualified candidate will act as an Engineer and Principal Investigator to perform research and testing efforts focused on bringing new technologies, processes, and methods to the natural gas/energy industry. The individual will participate in research and testing efforts with the natural gas industry as well as support cross-cutting research in the areas of hydrogen and renewable energy related projects.

The position will be based in the Chicagoland area at the GTI Energy Headquarters. We offer a hybrid/core work week, where employees are remote Mondays and Fridays, and required to be on-site Tuesday through Thursday.
Perform research and development on projects and initiatives for the Research & Engineering group at GTI Energy. This includes receiving assignments as a principal investigator and working independently or as part of a team. Project execution includes research focused on developing system behavior models, reliability models and lifetime prediction models. The position will require engagement with project sponsors for project reporting and project proposal stages. Below is a high-level overview of some of the primary responsibilities:
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $130,000 USD annually. This salary range is GTI Energy's good faith estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, GTI Energy's business or organizational needs and an individual's relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus. The range listed is just one component of GTI Energy's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, paid time off, and region-specific benefits.
