ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY (Education)
Lane College invites applications for the Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a nine-month faculty position with a maximum teaching load of 15 credit hours. Teaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to, non-major course Biological Science, and major courses such as General Biology, Genetics, Ecology and Environmental Science, or Human Anatomy and Physiology. Additional responsibilities include advising, curriculum development, assessment, and service to the college and community.
The Biology Department emphasizes active learning pedagogy within the classroom to create an inclusive environment for a diverse student body. Minimum requirements:
· Master's degree in Biology, with 18 graduate credit hours in Biology or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
· Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field is preferred.
· Evidence of teaching potential is essential.
· The ability to lift 10lb, 1% of the time
· Position may require some walking and the ability to climb stair
