Safety Coordinator (Engineering)

Job Overview:
Martin Bros. Distributing is currently hiring for the position of Safety Coordinator. The Safety Coordinator will work with departments in the Distribution Center to achieve overall safety and compliance goals.
Expectations:

Assists the Safety Director in all functions surrounding safety.
Oversees safety portions of new employee orientation and improves processes as necessary.
Monitors compliance to all OSHA/FMCSA/DOT policies.
Works with the Safety Director to ensure that investigations of accidents and injuries are performed with root cause analysis.
Interact with all levels of the company in a professional manner, representing the Safety & Compliance Department.

Job Duties:

Enforce all company policies, especially those that are safety focused.
Ensure Smith Systems training is completed by all new drivers and remedials are done in a timely manner.
Review and actively monitor the onboarding and training of all new operations employees.
