Principal Environmental Permitting Manager (Finance)

Role description:
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Permitting Manager to join our Energy Transition team to support and grow our expanding business in the Southeast region across a range of energy sectors, including renewable development and utility transmission and generation. The successful candidate will be engaged in both client development, through the management and growth of new and existing client relationships, and in project delivery. The position will require a candidate to work collaboratively with a diverse team and have the capacity to balance varying priorities. Arcadis offers a flexible working environment and follows a hybrid work structure. A successful candidate can expect to work remotely and from the office, as needed, based on demands of project and client teams. Periodic travel will be required (10-15%).

Role accountabilities:
As a Principal Project Manager, the focus of your work will be to lead permitting, environmental documentation, and critical issues analyses activities as needed for renewable energy projects in the Southeastern U.S. While a significant area of focus will be solar and storage projects, in this role you are likely to be engaged in permitting activities for other energy technologies (hydrogen, geothermal, biofuel, etc.) and electric transmission projects. The ideal candidate will have significant experience and market familiarity with permitting of energy sector projects and be able to assist clients with planning services for project development and execution of comprehensive permitting programs. Expertise with state and federal regulations associated with the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act are highly preferred. Additionally, you will provide senior level quality assurance/quality control for client deliverables, including agency consultations and permit applications.
In this role, you will also be involved in supporting and/or managing the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development leaders and account leaders. This will include leveraging existing client relationships, supporting client account teams, and leading pursuits and proposal development. You will track the regional market trends and landscapes for renewable energy development including policy, regulatory, and technology, and provide updates to internal teams. Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $116,000- $174,000.
Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
