Director- Educational Operations (College of Medicine) (Finance)

Department: Office of the Dean

Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education

1. Directs and evaluates educational operations within COM in collaboration with the Sr Assoc Dean for Education.
2. Assists unit leaders in staffing strategies, including planning, recruitment, development, and retention in areas like admissions and curriculum.
3. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures, suggesting improvements to enhance educational operations.
4. Advises faculty, staff, and students on initiatives and programs aligned with the college's mission.
5. Directs and reports on education budgets, anticipating needs and identifying funding opportunities.
6. Implements regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of educational operations.
7. Interprets and manages education-related data with relevant offices, preparing performance reports for programs and units.
8. Implements regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of educational operations.
9. Supports accreditation and program evaluation efforts for COM.
10. Plans and leads meetings for faculty and staff in collaboration with the Sr Assoc Dean for Education.
11. Directs and oversees scheduling and logistics for the Sr Assoc Dean, including calendaring, messaging, and internal and external communications.
12. Performs other job-related duties as required.

    Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an
    analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one
    professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year Degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
    Preferred: Master¿s Degree.
    
    Experience: Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
    Preferred: At least five years of leadership level experience in Medical Education is strongly preferred.
    
    Certification/Licensing: None.
