Responsibilities
Sells residential products to homeowners and builders at showroom or customer's place of business/residence.
Calls on purchasing agents and/or superintendents of existing and potential builders. Work with builder to reduce number of zero-dollar billable trips.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective residential/commercial customers to solicit orders.
Displays or demonstrates residential/commercial products, emphasizing selling features.
Quotes prices, credit terms and prepares sales contracts for residential/commercial orders obtained.
Maintains the quote log and other sales activity reporting as required
Reads builder and commercial blueprints/scopes of work in order to quote jobs.
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
Assist in collecting monies due from customers who have exceeded their credit terms.
Performs on-site inspections of jobs scheduled (pre-site inspection) prior to the installation date, during work and follow-up.
Participate in trade and home shows.
