Produce Supervisor/Merchandiser (Finance)
This position will be based in Morris Plains, NJ.
Responsibilities
Will schedule daily store visits to assess the design and layout of produce merchandise within each of our storesResponsible for checking product codes and alignment with pricingEnsure the quality of our products are up to our standards and practices in each storeEnsure that our displays are visually appealing and arranged with fresh produceWill be responsible for checking produce rotation, writing produce orders and inventory management, working directly with store Produce ManagersWill maintain a strong working relationship with the Director of Produce, working closely to manage daily functions, reporting and daily operations of departmentWill manage the training and development of Produce ManagersOther duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalentMust have 8-10 years of experience working in a high volume grocery store in the Produce Department (Produce Clerk/Produce Assistant Manager), with 5 of those years as a Produce ManagerMust have strong and applicable skills with the layout, merchandising and presentation of produce displaysMust have a strong sense of motivation and urgencyExcellent communication and multi-tasking skills are necessary for this positionMust be able to speak, read and communicate in the English LanguageTravel to our New Jersey/Yorktown Heights, NY stores is essential for this role. This is a traveling position.

Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
