Forklift Operator-Plywood (Project Management)
- Completes mobile equipment report at the beginning of the shift, notify Supervisor about any problems
- Cleans and blows down forklift at the beginning of the shift
- Demonstrates knowledge of forklift rules
- Stacks units neatly, with proper crossout placement and in proper rows
- Observes for any mechanical problems with forklifts and reports them to the shift Supervisor
- Keeps shift's wood separated on machine center
- Keeps Green Veneer warehouse organized
- Assists in feeding dryers
- Inspects load heights to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Properly marks all loads of veneer
- Keeps 4x4' runners picked up off the floor
- Sweeps up saw dust and veneer scraps with a push broom
- Picks up scraps of veneer with shovel, rake, or by hand
- Paints various plant equipment and materials (barriers, framework, guards, etc.)
- Follows Company policies, procedures and safety rules
