Corporate and Business Development Manager (Finance)
As part of the Business Development team at New England Biolabs (NEB), this individual will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating business opportunities, which include strategic partnerships, supply relationships, new ventures and licensing of technologies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background with commercial experience, possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support initiatives that are consistent with company's overall strategy, including the cultivation of new ventures, partnerships, and collaborations.
Work with internal stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and technologies in new and adjacent markets.
Establish collaborative working relationships throughout NEB; actively soliciting input and support for business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications and experience:
Ph.D. or M.S. degree in a core life science discipline required (relevant industry experience considered).
Scientific orientation, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of molecular technologies.
Business acumen with a minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial role.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects between internal and external stakeholders.
Possess solid analytical skills.
Be available for domestic and international travel (roughly 20%).
Project management skills and an ability multi-task.
Experience in strategic partnering, licensing of IP and technologies is a plus.
