Position Summary To lead and serve our internal and external customers within Logistics to oversee trucking lanes, ensure the safety of routes and standards in order to provide timely, accurate deliveries while consulting with senior management on methods to improve overall system efficiency to increase company sales and profits. Essential Functions Oversees route delivery systems and Logistics Operations to maximize operational efficiency. Monitors routing, develops route planning and analyzes changes to improve efficiencies while meeting customer needs. Analyzes performance and sets goals to maximize company sales and profitability. Develops and oversees consistent delivery and operating policies in accordance with established company policy and Federal/State/Local Laws including OSHA, DOT and safety compliance. Directs staffing, training and skill development of direct reports to allow for talent management and employee engagement goals to be met. Completes, approves and maintains preliminary budgetary information, employee performance reviews and other paperwork according to established company policy; reviews and approves time-off requests. Maintains confidentiality of financial information, customer information, employee information (e.g. discipline, wage information), and other sensitive and confidential information. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Education Must have experience in Beverage Delivery/Supply Chain, Business Management, Logistics, Sales or related field. Associate or bachelor's degree in business management, Logistics, Sales or related field strongly preferred. Experience 5 - 10years of distribution management experience. 3 - 5years of supervisory experience. Computer Skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access. Certifications & Licenses Valid driver's license; must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment. Other Requirements Knowledge of: retail sales environment; beverage industry; distribution process; Microsoft Office Suite; basic financial management. Skill in: internal and external customer service; training and coaching; budgeting for labor and other expenditures.
