Institutional Wide Financial Analyst in Student Financial Aid (Finance)
UTHealth Houston is looking for an Institutional Wide Financial Analyst to work in Student Financial Aid. This employee provides professional-level skills in performing simple to moderate complex financial analysis for the institution. Completes financial analysis and assists in the development of various institution-wide and operating unit-specific financial reports. This area deals with financial aid, so the focus will be on running queries. There is a lot of reconciliation of federal and institutional loans. You will also audit and reconcile scholarships and other programs that offer assistance to our students. We work with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, so any experience with that is a plus.

Position Key Accountabilities:
1. Develop, prepare, analyze, and/or review reports summarizing financial activity for the institution.
2. Prepare and analyze historical and projected financial data to provide senior management with valuable information upon which to make relevant financial decisions.
3. May analyze, prepare, and/or review sponsored projects' financial activities.
4. Assist in preparing and submitting the annual financial report, the annual operating budget, quarterly operating projections, and the monthly financial report to senior management and UT System.
5. Prepare and analyze reconciliations of activity with the UT System.
6. Analyze and prepare documentation and support as internal and external auditors request.
7. May assist in and/or prepare the indirect cost proposal for the institution.
8. May analyze and prepare needed adjustments to the institution's actual and budget ledgers.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
Minimum Experience:
Three (3) years of related experience in a financial or accounting area.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
