About the Opportunity
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond has an immediate opening for the Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning and Strategic Sourcing reporting to the CFO. This dynamic leader will have responsibility for the district's financial planning and data analytics, strategic sourcing, and supplier diversity functions. This leader works closely with the Corporate Planning business partners to design and implement the annual business and financial planning processes and has primary responsibility for ensuring the alignment of the district's financial plan with the strategic initiatives of the Bank. The AVP will serve as an active talent champion, coach and mentor and be able to demonstrate the ability to train and develop a team of strategic financial and sourcing business partners to support the business lines of the Bank.
What You Will Do:
Lead with a strategic, action-oriented mindset focused on performance and accountability.
Build strong partnerships with senior leaders to support key business opportunities and influence transformational initiatives, while supporting District budget targets and procurement savings goals.
Drive District transformation in support and serve as a champion of the Federal Reserve System's strategic sourcing business model, including contributing to the evolution of the System's procurement teams and related skill sets.
Work closely with District leadership to develop and articulate the district's operating budget, manage District financial performance reporting, and ensure compliance with System cost accounting guidance.
Inspire innovative approaches to finance and data through partnership with key stakeholders to establish outcomes, provide enhanced visibility, and inform Senior Leaders of emerging patterns and benchmarks.
Actively engage in System workgroups including taking on leadership roles within subject matter areas of expertise in support of System initiatives, and to further the district strategy in these areas.
Responsible for talent management through actively engaging teams in growth opportunities to develop functional level and leadership competencies through coaching and mentoring.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant professional and leadership experience.
BA/BS in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting, MBA preferred.
Proven leadership ability to align and implement strategic financial planning and sourcing efforts.
Ability to effectively attract and retain strong talent, motivate people to deliver results with enthusiasm and loyalty, and build an effective, cohesive and creative team.
Record of results as a persuasive leader, the ability to manage by influence, and a leadership style that builds strong relationships, generates support, facilitates teamwork with business leaders, and achieves broad-based cooperation and participation.
Resourceful, flexible, and critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement enterprise and departmental strategies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to reach a diverse audience.
Proven ability to create an environment of open deliberation to find the best solution to a problem, and to assist in the growth and development of teams.

The hiring range of the Assistant Vice President role is $190,000 - $235,000.
The Fifth District provides a hybrid work environment. This position is required to be onsite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
