The Assistant Director of Revenue Management, a ssists and acts in the absence of the Area Director of Revenue Management to monitor, manage and maintain group and transient inventories, ensuring the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability, all while utilizing the current data management system/s. Trains and oversees team members. Partners with Reservations to ensure the efficient management of daily group inventory. Develops, monitors and adjusts sales and pricing strategies. Participates in competitive and demand analyses. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff.

What will I be doing?

As the Assistant Director of Revenue Management, you would be responsible for monitoring, managing and maintaining group and transient inventories to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assistance to manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls including, but not limited to, room accommodation and rate inventory controls, roll-in controls, group inventory and cut-off dates, implementation of blackout dates, maintaining demand information and managing sellout strategies in partnership with Front Office
• Serve as a liaison with Front Office, Sales and Marketing and Reservation to maximize inventory and profitability
• Acts as the liaison between outside support networks like RMCC, GRO support, ensuring those areas remain aligned with the hotel's performance success
• Conducts competitive and demand analyses and provides critical analysis of current strategies, room statistics and general demand factors to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability
• Conduct forecasting, review all competitive shops, review demand, convention and city event calendars, maintain data on competitor products and maintain historical data on events and performance
• Responsible for the execution of various reports, reporting tools and data analysis to support the Revenue Management team
• Responsible for short term forecasting which is delivered to the hotel teams to project proper scheduling and cost attainment
• Responsible for balancing the room revenue financials each month and completing the month end process
