We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to become part of the Group Insurance Claims team as Director, Business & Process Enablement. This role will report into the Head of Claims in the Group Insurance business and will operationalize and drive the claims transformation vision and strategy. This individual will lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment that is key to Prudential's enterprise business, technology, and cultural innovation efforts. Ultimately, this influential leader will drive enhanced customer and employee experiences through innovative process improvements, new technology adoption, and by challenging the status quo.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Lead the business and process enablement aspects of internal/external technology enhancements across claims platforms.
Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to improve claims management processes.
Oversee the claims process consulting team, who have responsibility for job aids, SOPs, and other process controls.
Provides strategic direction and facilitates the development of specific business requirements.
Leads the identification, allocation, and coordination of subject matter expert resources.
Collaborates with internal and external partners and engages regularly with senior executives.
Implements industry-leading change management and operational readiness programs.
Ensures end-user training and full user adoption of transformed processes and technologies.
Oversees detailed project tracking, reporting, and budgetary planning of assigned initiatives.
Leverages a wide network of business partners in support of new technology adoption.
Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including internal and external partners.
Monitors industry trends and emerging issues related to claims excellence and adjusts strategies accordingly.
Develops and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of deployed solutions.
Participates in industry conferences and events to stay current on emerging best practices and developments.
Works closely with internal partners to ensure that all claims' processes comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Prudential's high ethical standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert on disability claims excellence topics, both internally and externally.
Recommends technology solutions to improve claims management processes and partners with internal and external partners to implement and execute.
What you'll need:
7 years or more of experience in group insurance or a highly related industry.
3 years or more of leading multiyear transformational efforts encompassing process reengineering and technology solutions.
Strong knowledge of insurance industry regulations, policies, and procedures.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and an ability to manage and execute simultaneous projects and tasks.
An inspirational leader, who inspires and creates followership.
Demonstrates an ability to think strategically and balance short-term and long-term needs.
Strong interpersonal abilities, clear communication skills, team orientation, and the desire and ability to work with business partners across the organization in a matrixed environment.
Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with both internal and external partners.
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale change management initiatives.
Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and expenses effectively.
Ability to travel, based on business and customer needs (up to 25%)
It'd be a plus if you had:
Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience leading in an Agile environment, including working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet customer needs is preferred, but not required
