Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The Transportation Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise the delivery strategies that optimize operational performance with the assigned territory.
Monitor and supervise Dispatch functions for the assigned area.
Properly and professionally supervise all personnel within the assigned area.
Ensure a professional and positive working relationship with Enterprise Marketing groups on a consistent basis for optimal performance.
Ensure all drivers have Safety Training in handling hazardous materials and operating company equipment and works with Enterprise Safety Department.
Ensure all assigned drivers have been trained in Company Policies and Procedures.
Coordinate field issues with Field Trucking Supervisor and Director.
Assure all drivers maintain accurate logbooks, run tickets, trip reports, and hourly pay sheets daily before submitting.
Participates in incident investigations and report investigation results accordingly to upper management.
Properly manages operational emergencies, in conjunction with Field Supervisor involving accidents, spills, etc.
Daily observation of field activities and operations.
Responsible for all on-boarding processes for all newly hired employees.
Provide weekly reports within the territory on delivery activity, operational incidents, and personnel issues.
Identify and document driver performance issues.
Maintain a professional working relationship with Human Resources on any and all personnel actions.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Enterprise Products policies and procedures.
Responsible for appraisal of employee performance, disciplinary actions of employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, in conjunction with Human Resources.
Work with leadership in West TX area on shared resources.
Frequent travel to other terminals and costumer locations in the region.
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent is required.
A minimum of 2 years of field operations if preferred.
A Bachelors degree or Technical degree is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues quickly and efficiently in a safe manner.
Must have a record of positive work performance and safety record.
Possess strong leadership and analytical skills, effective decision making, good problem solving capabilities, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and be able to interface with field employees, regulatory personnel, contract personnel, and others in a professional manner.
Must be organized and able to work effectively as a team member.
Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations and possess computer skills that include the general knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Adobe.
Must be willing to work extended hours and some weekends.
Must be willing to be on call and respond to calls after hours.
Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills and be able to interface with field employees, regulatory personnel, contract personnel, and others in a professional manner.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Must be organized and able to work effectively as a team member.
