Senior Business Systems Analyst (Finance)

Job Description
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all Corporate Business Systems meet the Corporate reporting requirements. This position collaborates with IT and Global Accounting Teams to evaluate business needs and develop and enforce procedures and policies. The ideal candidate for this position will have Accounting and SAP FICO experience as well as a strong understanding of Lease Accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS16). This person shows an eagerness to learn and support, both Lease accounting and EPM systems and how they all integrate to develop cohesive Financial Reporting.
• Create and maintain master data in SAP, Lucernex, HFM and ARCS, which is critical to determine how we report our financials. This includes the creation of Companies, Accounts/Cost Elements, Functions, Profit Centers, UDA's, etc.
• Create and maintain security profiles in SAP, Lucernex, HFM and ARCS
• Create and maintain data and metadata integrations between SAP and HFM/Planning/ARCS and Lucernex.
• Test system upgrades and reconcile data across all platforms
• Create and maintain reports in SAP, HFM/Planning and Lucernex
• Act as an intermediary with IT and Accounting departments globally to ensure that any modifications to SAP meet corporate reporting requirements while also maintaining the integrity of all downstream reporting systems
• Create and maintain Purchase Requisition User Approval Matrix
• Research and answer technical accounting questions when necessary
• Support users globally, when necessary, regardless of time zone
• Train new users in SAP, Lucernex, HFM and ARCS when necessary
• Load budgets from Planning to SAP and reconcile SAP back to Planning
• Create Policy and Procedures documents when necessary
• Act as the key point of contact for financial and system audits
• Support go-live of companies and assist users to document any material discrepancies
• Support Accounting and IT during monthly close
• Maintain Change Management Approvals for all changes made to Corporate Reporting Systems and SAP FICO Master Data using JIRA Ticketing System
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, MIS, Business, or related discipline
• 5+ years of combined experience in Accounting and SAP, in both an administrative and analytical role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a must
• Candidate must feel comfortable working with all levels of business personnel from entry level to senior level across all departments within the Samsonite organization
• Proficiency in Excel is a must
Preferred Skills and Industry experience :
• Ability to think outside of the box and explain processes in detail
• Experience with SmartView
• Experience working with Access
• Experience working Internationally
• Experience with Lucernex and Oracle EPM (HFM, Planning, ARCS) software
• Experience with IFRS
