Operations Specialist
Functions and Responsibilities: Provides services for education of students in operational planning in a joint/maritime command center. Assists Naval War College faculty in the instruction of doctrine, missions, functions, tasks, and processes that take place within a Maritime Operations Center (MOC). Performs exercise design and scenario development and maintenance. Interacts with students in role of liaison to Maritime Component Commander staff, providing subject matter expertise on force capabilities and employment options. Knowledgeable in Naval Planning Process at the Operational Level of War, using procedures contained in NWP 5-01, NWP 3-32, NTTP 3-32.1, and JP 3-32.
Requirements:
Education: Master's Degree in Operations Research, National Security and Strategic Studies, International Relations, or related field.
DoD Clearance level: Secret or Higher
Preferences:
Experience with a formal military environment. Experience with professional military education, and/or education at a command and staff college.
