Here's What We're Looking For
PLC programming & troubleshooting skills
Universal maintenance (well rounded)
Strong on Variable Frequency Drives (VFD's)
Knowledge of control circuit wiring 24VDC is a plus
Ability to read drawings, European schematics is a plus
Glass plant experience is a Plus
Responsibilities
1 - Understand and follow all company policies and procedures particularly safety program and procedures, especially electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and hot work sections.
2- Become knowledgeable and experienced in the operation and repair of company equipment. (Tempering furnace, desiccator, IG line, sealant machines, beveller, edger, grinders, drills, cutting table, forklift, cranes, saws, etc.).
3 - Keep tools secure and work areas clean, safe and organized.
4 – Observe and follow all equipment maintenance schedules to ensure proper equipment operation.
5- Promptly repair down production equipment using equipment manufacturer technicians when necessary.
6 -Assist in implementing plant maintenance program and document maintenance tasks performed.
7 - Complete monthly safety inspection of safety equipment and document results on the form. Order annual fire extinguisher inspections from outside vendor.
8 – Assist fabrication departments with production if necessary.
9 – Suggest methods to improve our products, service, operations and productivity.
10 – Interpret blueprints and instructions and trouble shoot equipment.
