In this client-facing role, you will gain expert knowledge of the federal and state-by-state unemployment insurance tax system. You will then have the opportunity to impart your knowledge to clients and advise on ideal courses of action to maximize tax savings.
What you'll do
Meet with clients to advise on best courses for reporting tax-impacting activity
Work with the team to support clients with compliance as it relates to reporting business changes to state/federal agency taxing jurisdictions.
Work with state and federal agencies to report corporate activities impacting unemployment insurance taxes
Learn the nuances of overall unemployment insurance tax system
Tax compliance advising may include, but is not limited to: business registrations, closures, acquisitions, reorganizations, mergers, divestitures, and payroll amendments.
Learn the processes of how to evaluate the tax impact of employee movements and offer recommendations.
Training will be provided on audits, a process where one must analyze, compute, and apply for refundable taxes that have been overpaid due to wage base restarts.
What experience you need
Bachelor's degree or professional experience in unemployment tax ecosystem

1+ year of experience in an unemployment insurance cost management ecosystem
Degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other business-adjacent subject
