What You will do
Join our team as a Market Data Manager and become a vital link between PGIM affiliates and third-party market data suppliers. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of licensing essential data services used across the firm. You'll have the opportunity to analyze market data requirements to address specific business needs and collaborate with fellow market data team members to streamline the onboarding process and continuously evaluate existing supplier relationships.
You'll also partner with key business functions, including finance, business management, third-party risk management, legal, and compliance. Be part of a highly specialized team making a significant impact in supporting PGIM and Prudential Financials' investment staff.
This position is based in one of our offices in Tampa, Florida or Newark, NJ and will follow a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely and/ from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
What you can expect
Review market data agreements and identify any contractual restrictions and/or concerns to the business.
Maintain excellent records of the market data inventory.
Communicate and coordinate with various supported internal businesses, users, and external market data suppliers.
Coordinate with third party risk management, technology, legal and compliance the onboarding of new market data suppliers.
Assist in the reconciliation of data expenses against invoices and prepare inventory reports using industry-standard market data inventory control databases (e.g., FITS).
Process changes to existing market data inventory, such as provisioning or removing access for end users. Monitor the team database and mailbox for incoming requests.
Negotiate tier 3 market data contract renewals.
Possess strong relationship management experience both externally with market data suppliers and internally with business stakeholders.
Work within a small group as well as independently to implement and coordinate the delivery of financial market data, news, information, and analysis services for internal market data consumers.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, information technology , Data science or Finance and Economics field.
5+ years of hands-on experience working within the market data business management industry.
Possess an understanding and experience with various major market data suppliers and their licensing policies (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG, Refinitiv, S&P Global, FactSet, Moody's, ICE Data, FTSE Russell, MSCI, INTEX, etc.).
Detail-oriented with strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple assignments for multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Strong administrative skills to track and manage the use of market data services within the company.
Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Word, PowerPoint).
What will set you apart?
Experience with third-party risk management and data governance is a plus.
Technical knowledge of creating chart books and PowerBI or Tableau dashboards is a plus
Experience with FITS Optimize Spend or equivalent market data inventory management systems (i.e. Optimize, MDSL, Calero MDSL) is a plus.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $125,000 to $150,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
