Machine Repair Tech 2nd or 3rd Shift (Maintenance)
2nd or 3rd Shift Industrial Machine Repair Tech (Internal job name: Maintenance Tech) The Maintenance Technician provides general facility/production equipment maintenance and repair. They support other maintenance associates in their day to day activities Preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment. Assemble, trouble shoot or repair equipment; pushing heavy carts and dollies; lifting of moderately heavy objects, no limit on weight, but must use good judgment on how things are moved. Maintenance should have the ability to work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and climate conditions. While being able to be in regularly contact with and exposed to dust, dirt, grease, grime, and usual shop condition; general proficiency in the following skills-Hydraulics, electrical and pneumatics. Must be mechanically inclined; sufficient strength, agility, and dexterity to perform all required tasks. · Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings. · Troubleshooting and repair of machine controllers. · Troubleshooting molding machine and auxiliary equipment problems. · Preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance of assigned equipment. · Record keeping of PM and repairs performed. · Use prints, operating manuals, sketches, and diagrams to dismantle, assemble, trouble shoot or repair equipment. · Communicate with OEM service representatives to aid in part ordering and problem solving. · Work in a safe and conscious manner. · Watch for and report/repair safety hazards immediately. · Report needs or maintenance and supplies. · Communicate equipment problems or unfinished jobs to next shift of maintenance and production supervisor. · Skilled in the use and care of tools and equipment required to perform. · Perform other duties as assigned.
