A clinically oriented therapist will work to provide quality therapeutic services in an outpatient setting or in any other community setting designated by Compass Behavioral Health.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: A clinically oriented therapist works to provide quality therapeutic services in an outpatient setting or in any other community setting designated by the Compass Behavioral Health. The therapist is responsible administratively to the Program Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be licensable by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Must meet the certification requirement set by the credentials committees of the Association of Community Mental Health Centers in Kansas, the Mental Health Consortium, Inc. and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Must meet credentialing requirements of the Mental Health Consortium, Inc. and be eligible for the granting of privileges by the Consortium. Must be eligible for licensure in the State of Kansas, as regulated by the BSRB. Must meet be credentialed by Medicaid Managed Care Organizations.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to a typical office environment and interaction with many different persons. In addition, the employee travels by automobile and is exposed to changing weather conditions. Must have a valid Kansas Driver's License and be insurable under the Mental Health Center's policy in order to operate a Center vehicle. The employee will interact with many different persons in varying stages of recovery from their mental illness.
