• You will be part of the Linde Advanced Operations Services (LAOS) business unit that develops, implements and maintains cutting edge advanced automation,optimization and predictive diagnostics solutions using Procedural Automation,Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 technology to improvesustainability, efficiency, profitability and reliability of process plants
• You will be part of an agile multi-culturalteam with members in US, Germany, Hungary, India and China that works veryclosely in long-term partnerships with customers around the world to providecustom tailored solutions and services
• Additionally, you will have the possibility to workas a front runner in emerging technologies with the latest sensor, IT andcontrol technologies enhancing your knowledge every day
• Work on advanced automation projects involving procedural automation, building automatic sequence logic, implementation at customer sites
• Installation and configuration of Linde image recognition software by combination of edge computing and cloud computing in Microsoft Azure platform
• You will identify and develop improvement opportunities in close collaboration with customers and estimate the potential economic benefit
• Opportunity to work on Industry 4.0 technologies such as Model Predictive Control, AI Plant Control, real time optimizers
• Support the generation of proposals and present solution concepts to customers
• Further, you will participate in autonomous operations consulting for customers.
• Implement and maintain advanced automation solutions at Linde Gas or 3rd party customer sites
• Train and support customer personnel in utilizing LAOS solutions
• Continuously improve the value that LAOS solutions generate for the customer.
• You will also participate in the development of IT/OT products & platforms for LAOS

What makes you great

• You have a Bachelor's / Masters / PhD degree in Chemical (preferable), Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls engineering or Computer Engineering.
• You have more than 2 years of experience with continuous process plants with involvement in automation & process control commissioning / startup experience will be a plus. Experienced in PID loop tuning
• Experience and expertise in computer programming in any high-level languages (Python, VBA, matlab, C++)
• Understanding of IT/OT network architectures, operating systems, and communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus
• You possess a passion for new technology
• Understanding of P&IDs, heat & mass balances, as well as the unit operations such as distillation columns, compressors, turbines, adsorbers, heat exchangers, cracking furnaces, Steam Methane Reformers
• Knowledge of Model Predictive Control (MPC), Real Time Optimizers (RTO) advanced regulatory control (ratio, feed-forward, cascade), static and dynamic process models will be plus
• You have basic knowledge of control systems (DCS, PLC), historian, edge computing, cloud computing
• About 30% travel with overnight stays is expected
