THE PROGRAM
We're looking for students to join our Supply Chain Co-Op Program who are obsessively curious about process improvement and using data to make informed decisions. Our Supply Chain Co-op program at Bose will give you a chance to gain the inside track on a unique and rewarding work experience. Our goal is to make your co-op experience exciting, meaningful and a valuable opportunity to learn about the industry, the supply chain discipline, and Bose in particular. You will enrich your classroom work with a real-life perspective and develop valuable skills necessary to succeed after graduation.
Opportunities don't stop at your day-to-day work. While you're getting an in depth look at your area of expertise, we'll expose you to other areas of the company. Our Co-Ops are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. The Supply Chain Co-op program covers a six month duration (July 14 - December 20, 2025) which provides a deep learning experience. All positions (unless otherwise identified) report into the Product and Supply Chain organization located at the Corporate Center in Framingham, Massachusetts, about 35 minutes outside Boston.
THE POSITIONS
Opportunity to explore Bose' end-to-end supply chain, including exposure to Commodity Management, Supply Planning, Product Development, Program Management, Quality Engineering, Forecasting and more.
Positions & Responsibilities:
Procurement (3 openings): Positions will be in Bose's Direct Global Supply Management group. Job details for these 3 roles include:
Electrical Commodity:
Be involved in the procurement of selected electrical & mechanical commodities including sourcing, obtaining and evaluating quotations, preparing for and actively participating in supplier meetings, analyzing supply-demand alignment, assessing supplier risk, and communicating industry trends.
Gain experience and learn about the semiconductor end-to-end supply chain ranging from early-stage engineering component evaluation and supplier mapping to forecast generation and delivery tracking.
NPI PM/Mechanical Commodity:
Support NPI Program Management team in areas of new products BOM review and resolution, Country of Origin determination, accessory part management. Interface with product contract manufacturers as well as internal functional groups.
Support Mechanical Commodity team in areas of system updates, supplier quotations, and other projects. Interface with component suppliers as well as internal functional groups
The positions include a combination of strategic/project work and standard daily/weekly work. The standard work will include responsibility for supporting commodity managers with contract pricing and data analysis involving Excel, SAP, Power BI, and supply management software platforms.
Operations Analyst (1 opening): The Supply Chain, Strategy & Logistics team is a support group within the Product and Supply Chain organization.
The ideal Analyst candidate is an independent worker and creative thinker who excels in project work over standard work. Responsibilities include:
Project-manage enhancements and maintenance to the Bose Corporate cost-reduction database in close conjunction with MIS development team in Mexico.
Manage KPI dashboard for the VP of Global Procurement & Manufacturing Operations. Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure integrity of metrics.
Create training modules and/or training documentation for the department, including delivery of the training to individuals both inside and outside the department.
Responsible for reporting analytics on commodity spend, savings results, purchase price variance, and other financial reporting, which is reported to senior level staff and used as organizational KPIs.
Supply Planner (1 opening):
Will be involved in planning the supply of several products within the global supply chain.
Responsibilities include analysis of forecasted demand, resolving supply chain gaps that may develop, communicating supply to sales on an ongoing basis, and elevating supply issues which impact customer shipments.
Automotive Business Forecasting Analyst (1 opening): work closely with the automotive forecasting team and cross functional stakeholders to record sales
Record sales, program management, order management, and other functional team input.
Accurate and timely updates to the business forecast in the Saphran forecasting system.
Support decision making through the generation of periodic and as needed reports.
Provide monthly reporting information to organization of forecast summary data in order to help drive accurate business decision making.
Automotive Quality Engineering (1 opening in Detroit or Framingham):
Process and metric development for the Contract Manufacturing Oversight and Customer Quality Engineering Team. Will interact with the Bose Data Analytics Team to deliver these metrics per the vision of the Global Team and also assist with metric development and lead the process to implement. You will need to be able to work with the global team, lead team meetings, document the process, and execute the monthly metrics, along with identify and suggest process and metric improvements.
ABOUT YOU
Requirements:
Skills: The ideal candidates are independent workers with attention for detail, strong communication skills, and proven ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Products. Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
PowerBI experience is preferred.
Able to pick up on technical systems quickly. SAP and SharePoint experience is a plus.
Education: Business majors with a Supply Chain concentration or Industrial Engineering majors.
