Software Engineering Advisors- Hybrid (Finance)
Responsibilities-
• Create detailed specifications/designs, conduct quality assurance reviews of peer application programming, and act as a technical resource for team members with less experience;
• Gather requirements, conduct analysis, design, develop, and enhance customized applications;
• Build on-line claim adjudication system;
• Create technical designs and solutions that deliver quality solutions for client and business needs;
• Ensure quality and timeliness of product development, technical design and solution implementation as a development team member;
• Partner with QA teams to resolve solution design deficiencies and related deliverables;
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and develop application and system solutions for business mandated products and regular operational processes;
• Perform impact analysis to resolve user queries as necessary;
• Modify existing applications, implement, and provide support and train stakeholders as necessary;
• Create technical and detailed level design for proposed solutions;
• Interact with QA tester to provide necessary information to differentiate defects and set up issues in end-to-end testing;
• Perform Root cause analysis to identify the cause of issues in the Test/Quality environment during SIT and Quality test and assist in fixing the defects;
• Perform stress test analysis and report any deviation or malfunction of any product within software release cycle; and
• Implement the developed product to achieve the project mission.

Qualifications-
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computers or engineering;
• 3 years of experience in a related occupation;
• Experience coding and debugging using Intertest and Xpeditor tools;
• Experience creating testing artifacts such as test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and preparing test summary reports and metrics;
• Experience coordinating with off-shore teams to provide technical and business clarifications and to track delivery of projects on time;
• Experience with production implementation planning and deployment verification;
• Experience participating in Agile ceremonies (daily stand ups, sprint planning, user story refinement, sprint review, and retrospective); and
• Experience using: COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, CICS, REXX, EASYTRIEVE, and VSAM.
