We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced SNF environment. As a COTA, you will play a critical role in the rehabilitation process of patients, helping them regain and develop the skills needed for daily living and working. You will collaborate closely with occupational therapists and other health care professionals to deliver high-quality patient care, focusing on individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the implementation of therapeutic activities, monitoring patient progress, and providing support in various rehabilitation settings. Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the occupational therapist.
• Conduct therapeutic activities to help patients improve their daily living and work skills.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to carry out at home.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients during therapy sessions.

Requirements

• Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from a recognized program.
• State licensure or certification as required.
• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
