Research Assistant I - Orthopedic Research (Finance)
UTHealth Houston's Orthopedic Research department is hiring for a Research Assistant I to join their team of professionals. The Research Assistant will be responsible for research data collection , including clinical, surgical, and offsite data collection, patient-informed research consenting, data management/reduction, professional writing, and more. The ideal candidate will have a focus on sports, knee, shoulder, and elbow clinical trials , and flexibility to perform clinical and surgical observations. Experience with attending orthopedic department clinical education opportunities and residency and fellowship didactic sessions is a plus!

Under close direction of senior research staff, conducts activities to support research projects.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
General knowledge of research fields.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
No years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds constantly and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
